How to Make a Perfect Cup of LaungElachi Masala Chai

Signature Masala Chai Recipe

Crafted with our Signature Chai Masala, this recipe brings together tradition, comfort, and bold flavor — one cup at a time.

Ingredients (for 2 cups):

  • 1 cup water
  • ½ cup milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • ½ to 1 tsp LaungElachi Signature Chai Masala
  • 2 tsp loose tea leaves (or 2 tea bags)
  • Sweetener of choice (optional – jaggery or sugar)

Brewing Method:

  1. Boil 1 cup of water in a saucepan.
  2. Add ½ cup of milk and bring the mixture to a gentle boil. Let it simmer for 2–3 minutes to develop depth.
  3. Stir in ½ to 1 tsp of LaungElachi Signature Chai Masala.
  4. Add 2 tsp of your favorite tea leaves and give the mixture a double boil — letting it rise, settle, and rise again.
  5. Strain and serve hot — in your favorite mug or a traditional kulhad.
  6. Savor the magic. ☕

What is a Double Boil?

A double boil is a cherished Indian technique that enhances the strength and aroma of chai. Here’s how:

  • First Boil: Combine water, milk, chai masala, and tea leaves, and bring to a boil.
  • Simmer: Let it gently bubble so the spices and tea infuse deeply.
  • Second Boil: Increase the heat to bring it to another rolling boil.
  • Final Simmer: Lower the flame and allow it to settle once more before straining.

The result? A richer, more full-bodied cup of chai — bursting with warmth and spice.

✨ Pro Tip: For a stronger brew, allow the tea to simmer longer before the second boil.
